An NBA executive thinks Gabe Vincent could be a Lakers target

The Los Angeles Lakers may not be that far from being a championship team, but most would agree they need at least one or two more pieces this offseason.

One need is for at least one two-way guard or wing to help bolster their depth and outside shooting.

Much of the talk has centered around yet another pursuit of Kyrie Irving, but it appears the organization would rather run it back and add a couple of role players to the core it already has.

One rival general manager thinks the Lakers could make a run at Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent this summer (h/t Lakers Daily).

Via Heavy.com:

“Gabe Vincent from Miami, he is a free agent and could be had at a decent number,” the NBA executive revealed to Heavy.com’s Sean Deveney. “It is hard to figure where he ranks as a shooter, and the Heat might go out of their way to keep him, but he’s the kind of fit they need there in L.A.”

Vincent is one of several undrafted players who have turned into gems for Miami. His numbers during the regular season (9.4 points a game on 40.2 percent overall shooting and 33.4 percent from 3-point range) looked pedestrian, but he has stepped things up during the playoffs and had a number of big games.
