2024 NCAA Tournament bracket predictions: March Madness expert picks, favorites to win, Elite Eight, upsets

The 68-team field we started with a few weeks ago for the 2024 NCAA Tournament keeps shrinking. We were already down to eight with the penultimate weekend of March Madness. After two frenzied days of action across the country for Sweet 16 play, eight teams over the next two days will be cut in half to four as the road to the Final Four in Glendale, Arizona, is paved.

By now your bracket – like most of everyone else’s – is somewhere between broken and outright busted, and that’s OK. Our experts below grinded tape all season and watched hundreds of games throughout the year, and you know what? We haven’t been perfect, either.

We’ll give ourselves some flowers, though, because most of us have our champion picks still intact and several other teams in the hunt. That’s probably more than a lot of people can say. So if your bracket is done and you’re just looking to wager some cheddar with picks as the tourney grinds down, use our picks below as a guide to help get you to the finish line.

Watching UConn become the first back-to-back national champion since Florida in 2006 and 2007 would be a blast. And let the record show that the Huskies are the betting-market favorites. So I realize picking against them might prove dumb. But, that acknowledged, I’m going to continue to do what I’ve been doing most of this season and put my faith in the Boilermakers.
