Upon conclusion of relevant games through Sunday, April 14, NBC Sports Bay Area will provide an at-a-glance look at the NBA teams in and around the Western Conference play-in tournament box.
These “standings” will run from sixth place through 11th – until the sixth- and 11th-place teams are excluded from the four-team play-in box.
Here is where things stand through Tuesday night’s slate of games:
Sixth (final guaranteed playoff berth): Pelicans (45-30), 7.5 games behind first place). Tuesday: Did not play. Next two: Wednesday vs. Magic (44-31), Friday vs. Spurs (18-58).
Seventh: Kings (44-31, One game behind Pelicans). Tuesday: Beat LA Clippers 109-95. Next two: Thursday at Knicks (44-31), Friday at Celtics (59-16).
Eighth: Suns (44-31, One game behind Pelicans). Tuesday: Did not play. Next two: Wednesday vs. Cavaliers (46-30), Friday vs. Timberwolves (52-23).
Ninth: Lakers (43-33, 2.5 games behind Pelicans). Tuesday: Beat Raptors 128-111. Next two: Wednesday at Wizards (15-61), Saturday vs. Cavaliers (46-30).
10th: Warriors (41-34, Four behind Pelicans). Tuesday: Beat Mavericks 104-100. Next two: Thursday at Rockets (38-37), Friday at Mavericks (45-30).
