THE GEORGIA BULLDOGS
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Georgia is No. 1 in the preseason AP Top 25Ā for the second straight year. The Bulldogs, which also topped the preseason Coaches PollĀ and the CBS Sports 134, garnered 46 of 62 first-place votes. In fact, the AP and the coaches are in agreement on each of the top seven:
Georgia
Ohio State
Oregon
Texas
Alabama
Ole Miss
Notre Dame
Ohio State earned 15 first-place votes from the AP, and Oregon took one. Eight of the top nine teams in the AP Top 25 are from the SEC or Big Ten.
