The greatest two days in American sports continued Friday as the 2025 NCAA Tournament resumed its first round with wall-to-wall action including 16 games spanning noon until late into the evening. What started as a 68-team bracket is already down to 48 teams. It will be further truncated to 32 teams at end of play Friday, and then 16 teams by the time Sunday night concludes as the chase to the national championship continues at a frenetic pace.
No. 1 seeds Duke and Florida, the most-selected teams in NCAA brackets, are both in action Friday with the Blue Devils playing Mount St. Mary’s at 2:50 p.m. ET live on CBS before the Gators square off with Norfolk State at 6:50 p.m. on TNT. While Duke and Florida are heavily favored, there may be some upset specials on the horizon as the day progresses.
